Description

Our holiday home is situated within one of the most prestigious of Rome's golf courses, THE CASTELGANDOLFO COUNTRY CLUB, constructed in the basin of a volcanic crater the once contained a lake. This exclusive location is just a few miles from Castel Gandolfo, one of the most beautiful of the towns in the vicinity of Rome, renowned for playing host to the Pope's summer residence.
Our holiday home forms part of a series of villas, with views over the golf course.
First of all, you will come across the small but delightful and well-equipped garden, before being welcomed into the generously proportioned, light-filled lounge, with its American-style kitchenette. Castel Gandolfo

Castel Gandolfo is undoubtedly the tourist hotspot of the Castelli Romani area.

Day in, day out, groups of Italian and foreign tourists arrive at the purpose built tourist car parks and head off to visit the wonderful old centre of the town.
This constant influx of tourists imbues the place with a vibrancy lacking in many larger conurbations nearby. The shopping is great.
Castel Gandolfo is featured on the list of Italy's most beautiful towns compiled by ANCI (the Italian National Association of Municipalities).

How to get to Castel Gandolfo
Castel Gandolfo is located 40 minutes' drive from Rome's Termini train station (Rome - Albano line). The closest airport is Ciampino.
